Work with the plan

Ask Rovo about the plan

YTI Gantt comes with an agent for Atlassian Rovo, the AI built into Jira. Ask it about the schedule in plain words; it answers from the same calculations as the chart.

Open it

  1. Open Rovo

Choose Ask Rovo at the top of Jira.
  2. Pick the agent

In the agent menu at the top of the chat, search for YTI Gantt planner and choose it.
  3. Ask

Type a question, or pick one of the suggestions. In a Jira project, the agent uses that project; elsewhere, name the project by its key.

What to ask

You askThe agent answers with
What is at risk in this project's plan?Overdue issues, dependencies whose dates do not hold, people with two issues at once, critical issues nobody is assigned to, issues without dates
Why does the plan finish when it does? The finish date and the chain of issues that decides it (the critical path)
What does SHOP-12 wait for? Can it slip? The issue's dates, what it waits for and what waits for it, and its slack in working days
Move SHOP-12 to start on 16 NovemberThe move and every issue that depends on it, after you confirm
Draft a plan for a website relaunch: research 1 week, design 2 weeks after research…An epic and its issues with lengths, dates and dependencies, after you confirm

Changes need your yes

  • Before it moves an issue or creates a plan, the agent shows exactly what will change and asks you to confirm. Rovo also asks for a confirmation of its own before the change is made.
  • A move works like dragging the bar with auto-scheduling on: the issue keeps its length, and the issues that depend on it move so the dependencies hold.
  • A drafted plan has at most 30 issues. Each starts the working day after what it waits for ends; the dependencies are Jira links of your dependency link type.
  • Everything is done as you, so Jira's permissions apply and Jira's history shows who changed what.

Who has it

Rovo is part of the Standard, Premium and Enterprise plans of Jira Cloud. On the Free plan there is no Rovo, so the agent is not shown; everything else in YTI Gantt works the same. The agent looks at up to 2,000 issues of a plan in one answer.

Your data

The agent reads the plan through Jira as you and gives Rovo the issue keys, summaries, statuses, assignees and dates it needs to answer. All of this stays in Atlassian's cloud: the app has no servers of its own and YTI Digital does not see your plans. See Permissions, data, licensing.
