The settings open in the gadget: a JQL query, the time scale, grouping, the critical path and the height.
Settings
- Which issues (JQL): by default the open epics of all projects (
issuetype = Epic AND statusCategory != Done ORDER BY Rank ASC). For one release:project = SHOP AND fixVersion = "1.5" ORDER BY Rank. - Time scale: the whole plan in the width of the gadget (default), or Day, Week, Month or Quarter.
- Group by: hierarchy, assignee, status, issue type or a flat list.
- Critical path: highlight the issues that decide the finish date.
- Height: 240 to 900 pixels; shorter plans take only the room they need.
What people see
- The issue keys and summaries, the bars, dependency arrows and today's line, each person seeing only the issues they may browse.
- Hover a bar for its dates and slack; click an issue to open it in Jira's issue view.
- Nothing can be dragged or changed in the gadget. To change the plan, open the project's Gantt tab or the Gantt page under Apps (see Filters, views and links).
- The gadget reads the plan again every 15 minutes while it is on screen, so a dashboard on a wall screen stays current.
