Coming from another app
If your current estimation app stops working on Jira Cloud, here is how to switch in one refinement.
What maps to what
- A game or round is a session here: a JQL query, a scale and the field to write to.
- Silent sorting / relative mode is the sorting board. Placements stay hidden until the reveal.
- Results show the votes per issue, the median and the issues to discuss, then write to Jira.
Switch in four steps
- Install YTI Magic Estimation next to your current app. Both can run at the same time.
- Create a session for the next refinement with the same scale you use today.
- Run it with the team and write the estimates to the same field.
- When you are happy, uninstall the old app.
Estimates already in Jira stay where they are; nothing has to be migrated.
